How to intelligently manage Windows XP system restore

Windows 7 system backup and restore function has no small progress compared with XP, even if the system crashes, you can enter the WinRE environment through the installation CD (Windows Recovery repair environment, that is, start Win7 and press F8 to enter the advanced startup) ; Repair the computer to start the same environment) to restore the system image, but sometimes the system may be a little problem, no need to waste time, then only system restore can be solved. Moreover, the system restore function of Windows 7 can create a restore point by itself, set whether to restore the usage ratio of the previous version of the file and the disk space, the flexibility is high, and the degree of intelligence of the operation is also greatly improved. However, a large number of rookies still use WinXP, its system restore is like a chicken, can not manually create restore points and restore files, then, can they only use Ghost to restore the system? Of course not. Today, marine fish recommend a system restore enhancement tool for them.

This tool is System Restore Control. We know that XP uses 12% space to save XP restore points by default. Every 24 hours to create a restore point, the maximum period for retaining a restore point is 90 days. In addition to allowing you to adjust the disk space below 12% to accommodate the restore point. It does not provide any adjustment function, but any time the system restore is stopped, started and suspended is automatically completed, you can not manually intervene, which is of course very inconvenient. And using the default scale of system restore space often causes unnecessary waste. We only need a recent restore point, or a few recent restore points, instead of the last 90 days of restore points. These features are available through System Restore Control. In System Restore Control, we can easily set the proportion of disk partitions used by restore points, the creation interval of new restore points (input 7 means create a restore point every 7 days), the duration of restore points, and the interval of session restore points. After the setting is completed, you can click the “Apply” button to apply (note that if the session restore point interval is set, the setting of the new restore point creation interval is invalid and will be replaced by it, for example, the session restore is set. The dot interval is 4 hours, then the creation interval of the new restore point will become 0.17 days, ie 1/6 day).

If we need a system restore, then System Restore Control can be used in two ways. First, we can click the <quo;System Restore” button, which will launch the XP System Restore program. We can also click on “Restore Point” to open the Restore Point List window. Simply select the restore point and click the “Restore” button to restore it (just click on the pop-up window “ ; is & rdquo; button can be). We can also create a restore point in the restore point list window by clicking the “Create” button. This is a useful feature to make up for the lack of XP native system restore function (you can set the name next to “Name” and then start) .

Using this software, XP system restore will be more powerful, with the function of system restore is not inferior to Win7, the majority of users who leave the XP quickly try it.
