Talking about another restore expert in Win XP

In Windows Sfc.exe (System File Checker) is a utility for verifying system file integrity and repairing system files. In Windows XP, it's more powerful: we can also use this tool to implement the restore function, Windows XP "system file checker" can scan all protected system files to verify its version, you can also set the file Cache size, clear file cache, and repopulate the "%SystemRoot%\\System32\\Dllcache" folder.

To enable the System File Checker in Windows XP, first run the Command Prompt: Click Start → All Programs → Accessories → Command Prompt, or click the Start → Run command. Type "cmd" on the command line and press the Enter key. Then type "Sfc" at the cursor prompt in the "Command Prompt" window and press the Enter key. The prompt shown in Figure 1 below will be given.

For example, we type "Sfc/SCANNOW", press the Enter key, the "System File Checker" will start to check whether the current system file is damaged, the version is Correct, if an error is found, the program will ask you to insert the Windows XP installation CD to repair or replace the incorrect file. If the Dllcache folder is corrupted or unavailable, you can also use the "Sfc/scanonce" or "Sfc/scanboot" command to fix the contents of the folder to ensure the security and stability of the system.
