Use notepad to easily create personalized OEM information

        Download the
XP installer from the online , after seeing the installation is finished with other people's OEM information, it is very uncomfortable. There are two ways to modify it: in the registry, it is easy to make mistakes, and the steps are cumbersome; or use special tools (such as Windows Optimizer
), you need to install additional software. Let me introduce you to a very simple method, which can be easily done in three steps.

First, prepare OEM information

(1) Open the Notepad program and enter the following lines:
[Version]
Microsoft Windows Whistler Edition
WinVer=5.01< Br>

[General]
Manufacturer=** (** can be changed according to your preferences)

Then save the file as oeminfo.ini.

(2) Prepare a Bmp format image smaller than 160×120 pixels and rename it to oemlogo.bmp. IT Starling.com (http://www.it8g.com
) reminds everyone that the image is the manufacturer's image displayed in the system properties.

Second, make a self-extracting file

Select the two files created above and right-click, select the "Add to compressed file" command, the text box under "Compressed file name" Enter oem.exe and check the checkmark in front of "Create self-extracting format compressed file" (Figure 1); then switch to the "Advanced" tab, click the "Self-extracting option" button, and extract it in the pop-up window. Enter the path: C:\\Windows\\system32, click the "confirm" button, the OEM information will be created.

Third, "install" OEM information

Double-click the OEM.exe file just created and click the "Install" button, then right click on "My "Computer" look at the properties, how, the effect is pretty good (Figure 2)!
