Making WinXP Universal Image

Delete unnecessary files

1.C:\\Windows\\System32\\Dllcache directory system file protection cache, users only need to run "sfc.exe /purgecache" in the command prompt window You can delete it.

2. Right click on "My Computer", select "Properties", then select "Advanced", click the "Settings" button under "Performance", open and select "Advanced". Click Change again to open the Virtual Memory dialog. Select the "No paging file" option below, then click the "Settings" button and restart. 3. Restore the system off, select "System Properties" dialog "Restore System", select "Off System Restore on all drives" checkbox before.

Clear hardware configuration

1. Delete the driver, open the "Device Manager" control window, uninstall the network card, universal serial bus controller, video game controller, video card, sound card and other equipment driver. Do not restart after deleting. 2. Change the ACPI property of the computer in Device Manager to Standard PC. 3. Change the IDE controller's driver to a standard dual-channel PCI IDE controller. 4. Release the DEPLOY.CAB file in the \\SUPPORT\\TOOLS\\ directory on the WinXP installation CD to the C:\\Sysprep directory; then run the setupmgr.exe file and select the "Sysprep Install" option in the Select Installation Type screen. ; Fill in the necessary information according to the on-screen prompts and keep clicking the "Next" button to the end. Make sure the final installation script path is C:\\Sysprep\\sysprep.inf.

Run the Sysprep.exe program in the C:\\Sysprep directory, and then click the "Repackage" button in the window that opens. After that, the system will prompt that the SID will be regenerated when the next startup, click the "OK" button, wait a moment, the computer will automatically shut down.

Making an image

At this point, you can back up the partition as a mirror in the usual way. After the production is finished, the image can be installed on any system.
