Ntoskrnl.exe file missing or corrupted problem solved

                   Fault performance: All computers are prompted after booting the system. When prompted to boot the system: "Unable to start %systemroot%\\system32\ toskrnl.exe due to the following file corruption or loss of Windows, please re-install the copy of the above file." The computer is completely inaccessible to the system, and other computers can enter the system after multiple reboots. Troubleshooting: According to the prompt of the computer failure, there are two possibilities for not finding the ntoskrnl.exe file: one is that the user deletes the file by mistake or makes it corrupted; the second is that the file exists, but the startup record is incorrect. It cannot be found when the system boots.
If the file is damaged or deleted, we can try to restore the file. There are two ways to restore the file (assuming Windows XP is installed in the "c:\\windows" directory, the C partition is in FAT32 format, and the Windows XP installation CD letter is "X:").
1. Copy from backup. Boot to the pure DOS operating system with the Windows 98 boot CD and type "copy c:\\windows\\driver cache\\i386\ toskrnl.exe c:\\windows\\system32".
2. Extract from the disc. After booting with the Windows XP installation CD, select “R” to enter the Recovery Console and enter “X:” and “cd i386” to enter the installation directory. Then type "X:\\i386>expand sp1.cab -F:ntoskrnl.exe c:\\windows\\system32" to copy the file from the installation package.
If the problem is still not resolved after restoring the ntoskrnl.exe file, try repairing the boot record. Also enter the i386 installation directory in the Recovery Console, enter "copy ntldrc:" and "copy ntdetect.com c:" to restore the startup file, then enter "fixboot c:" in the "C:\\windows" directory to repair the startup record. Enter "fixmbr c:" to fix the master boot record, and finally check if the boot path of the "C:\\boot.ini" file is correct. After the repair of the above two methods, most of the computer failures are discharged, and a small number of computer failures remain. Since ntoskrnl.exe is a system file, I suspect that the remaining faulty computer is infected with the w32.bolzano virus. So use KV2005 DOS anti-virus tool to kill the virus, and then use Ghost to restore the system, the long-lost Windows welcome interface finally arrived as scheduled.
At this point, most computer problems have been eliminated, but there are still two computers that failed to start. Is there a problem with the hard disk? After checking, it was found that one of the computers had bad sectors on the hard disk. After repairing the bad sectors of the hard disk, the Ghost recovery system solved the problem. Now there is only one last computer left. The author reinstalled the operating system for this computer, sometimes it could not be installed successfully, sometimes the installation was successful, but the same failure occurred after several restarts. So I used Memtest to test the memory and found that the memory continuously reported a CRC (loop check) error at a location of around 365MB.

ntoskrnl.exe is a protective process that occurs when your computer is repeatedly started. Under normal circumstances, there is no such process in the Task Manager. Note: ntoskrnl.exe may also be a w32.bolzano virus. Please use anti-virus software for killing.
Error message when starting: "Ntoskrnl.exe missing or corrupt on bootup" (ntoskrnl.exe is missing or corrupted)

If one of the following conditions occurs, the ntoskrnl.exe error will appear: < BR>
-A new hard disk has been added or the original partition has been changed. For example, deleting the original partition or merging the original two partitions may result in the [bot loader] part of the boot.ini file. The default value is missing or invalid, so the file required for startup cannot be found during startup;

-Ntoskrnl.exe file is deleted or corrupted;

[Workaround:]
-Start the operating system with the boot disk, edit the boot.ini file, check if there is an error in the command similar to the following line:

muti(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\\ WINNT="microsoft windows 2000 professional" /fastdetect

This line indicates that the partition (1) on the first partition of rdisk(0) on the first ide hard disk is equipped with win2k, and everyone can follow this rule. Find the correct value in your own boot.ini file;

-If no error is found, please win2k Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive, and then enter the command line:
expand x:\\i386\ toskrnl.ex_ c:\ toskrnl.exe
Enter, the prompt file has been released, remove the disc, reset;
If you Still not sure, don't reinstall the system, so your dynamic partition will be gone. The data will also be lost. You can install the upgrade to win2003, because in the process of upgrading will retain all dynamic disks Logical Disk Manager (LDM) data set

This problem may have the following main reasons: The Default value in the [Boot Loader] section of the Boot.ini file is missing or invalid, the Ntoskrnl.exe file is missing or corrupted, and the partition path setting in the Boot.ini file is incorrect. This can be solved by using the Windows XP installation CD to start the computer, press the R button on the screen to enter the Recovery Console, and log in to the system using the Administrator account. Enter the "bootcfg /rebuild" command at the prompt and press Enter. When the screen asks "Add installation to the startup list?", press the "Y" button, enter "Windows XP" when "Input Load Identifier" appears, and press directly when asked "Enter OS Load Option". car. Restart the computer to normal mode when done. This will fix the boot.ini file. If the file itself is damaged or lost, it can also be repaired under the Recovery Console.
Ntoskrnl.exe is the initialization of the executor subsystem and the driver of the boot system is lost, you can not enter the system. Enter the expand (CD-ROM drive letter) under the recovery console: \\I386\\NTOSKRNL.EX_ C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\NTOSKRNL.EXE
Ntoskrnl.exe file stores the startup screen of WIN XP startup LOGO screen in WINXP system It is possible that this problem occurs due to the different versions of Ntoskrnl.exe. You can use the eraser to erase the memory of the gold finger and clean the memory slot. You can also borrow memory to try
data transfer. Error did not read into the initial file, change the hard drive data line to see
