Different Windows XP system interface adjustment skills

More and more users are currently using Windows XP. However, by default, Windows XP is very different from the original Windows 98/2000 in the interface, so some users are not used to it. The following describes how to change the Windows XP interface back to Windows 98/2000.

1. The desktop displays “My Computer”, “My Documents” and “Network Neighborhood”

When Windows XP displays the desktop icon, there is no “My Computer” or “By default”. Icons such as "My Documents" and "Network Neighborhood" cause a lot of inconvenience to users who are accustomed to using these icons. The way Windows XP can display these contents is:

Right-click on the blank space of the desktop, select "Properties" in the shortcut menu, select the "Desktop" tab in the pop-up window, and then select "Custom" "Desktop", after watching the pop-up window, know how to do it?

2, using Windows 98/2000 window style

Some people may not like the Windows XP window style, want to restore the original Windows 98/2000 interface, what should I do? Right click on the blank space of the desktop, select "Properties" in the shortcut menu, select the "Theme" tab in the pop-up window, and select "From the drop-down menu of "Theme" Windows Classic", then choose OK.

3, using the Windows 98/2000 style "Start" menu

After opening the "Start" menu, right click in the blank space of the pop-up window, select "Properties", the task will pop up In the column and the 'Start' menu properties window, select the "Classic Start Menu".

4. Do not group tasks with the same title

Under Windows 98, if you open multiple IE windows, each IE window will have one item in the task bar. In Windows XP, these IE windows will be grouped together so that the taskbar will be much cleaner. But when you run fewer tasks, this task grouping function requires you to click the mouse more than once, which is very inconvenient. To cancel the grouping function:

In the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" window that pops up in item 3, select the "Taskbar" tab and place the "Grouping similar taskbar buttons" before Remove the checkmark and select OK.
