Let Windows XP also quickly lock your computer

                  The company has changed the machine collectively! ! ! Buy DELL machines and bring XP operating system. Wow, I finally upgraded from Win 2000 to Windows XP, but the problem has come: the first use of the system lock function in Windows 2000, and under Windows XP, press CTRL+ALT+DEL, but the popup is " Windows Task Manager, not the Quick Login Box in Win 2000. This is how to do? After trying to figure out how many times, I finally found several recipes:

Method 1: Create a shortcut on the desktop to quickly lock the computer.

1. First right click on the desktop, select "New" → "Shortcut" in the shortcut menu that appears (Figure 1);

New shortcut

2, the system starts to create a shortcut wizard, enter "rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation" in the "Please type the location of the project" text box. Click "Next" (Figure 2), enter the name of the shortcut in the pop-up window, for example, here we call it "Quick Lock", click "Finish".

3. At this time, there will be a blank icon on the screen. If you are not satisfied with the style of the icon, we can also modify the shortcut icon, right click For the shortcut, select "Properties", click the "Shortcuts" tab, click the "Change Icon" button, enter "Shell32.dll" in the "Find icons in this file" text box, click "OK", Then select the desired icon from the list and click "OK" (Figure 4) to be OK.

Method 2: This is done by using the Windows Logo function key.

The Windows logo function keys are located in the bottom row of the keyboard. It is an unusable "treasure"! It can be combined with other keys to have a variety of functions. To quickly lock your computer, just press the Windows logo button + L button to complete, how, this method is simple! Method 3: Use the standby function.

Select "Performance and Maintenance" → "Power Options" in the "Control Panel", in the "Advanced" tab, check "Prompt for password when the computer resumes from standby", and then click "OK" is completed.

When you want to lock your computer, just select "Standby" from "Start" → "Close Computer". If you want to unlock, just press the Power button on your computer. Enter your password.

Method 4: Use a screen saver.

The author feels that this is not the way to do it. I don’t want to say more about the specific steps. Earth people know :), just put the screen saver activation time to the shortest 1 minute, and Check "Use password protection when recovering". However, compared with the above three methods, it feels that it can not achieve the function of the lock.
