Install Windows2000 in XP system

  
                              

This feature is only available in FAT32 format and Windows XP is installed on the C drive.
First, install Windows 2000
Use Windows 98/ME support CD-Rom installation boot floppy disk to start the computer, in order to speed up the installation, please add Smartdrv.exe file to the installation boot floppy disk.
Insert the Windows 2000 CD into the CD drive and type Smartdrv under A:\\>.
Type X:\\I386\\WINNT.EXE under A:\\> where X is the letter of the CD-ROM drive.
Windows 2000 must be installed on another hard disk or hard disk partition and cannot be installed on the same hard disk partition as Windows XP; after the installation is complete, let the computer boot and enter Windows 2000.
Second, repair Windows XP boot system
In the BIOS is set to boot from the CD drive, then put the Windows XP CD into the CD drive to start the computer.
There will be three choices when the disc is automatically executed to stop. Press [R] to repair the computer and ask which system to enter. Please select the Windows XP code and enter the Administrator password (the same as the Administrator password entered during installation). ). If you don't have a password, just press Enter.

Type Fixboot under C:\\Windows> and press [Y] to confirm.
Type CD \\ under C:\\Windows>.
Type ATTRIB -H NTLDR under C:\\>.
Type ATTRIB -S NTLDR under C:\\>.
Type ATTRIB -R NTLDR under C:\\>.
Type ATTRIB -H NTDETECT.COM under C:\\>.
Type ATTRIB -S NTDETECT.COM under C:\\>.
Type ATTRIB -R NTDETECT.COM under C:\\>.
Type COPY X:\\I386\\NTLDR C:\\ under C:\\> Note: X: is the letter of the CD drive (the same below).
Type COPY X:\\I386\\NTDETECT.COM C:\\ under C:\\>.
After removing the Win XP CD and typing [Exit], the computer will be restarted, and then the BIOS will be used to change the computer back to the computer.
Using the Chinese version of Windows XP If the menu is garbled at startup, you can copy the bootfont.bin under the I386 directory of the Windows XP CD to the root directory of the C drive after entering Windows XP; if you use the English version of Windows XP To remove bootfont.bin from the root directory of the C drive; if the multi-boot menu is not displayed properly, you can modify the Boot.ini file in the root directory of the C drive.
