Safely Remove XP System

in Dual System

We found a way to correctly remove XP in dual boot system, which is here for your reference.

1. First, you should use the Win98 boot floppy disk to start the computer and enter the DOS working mode.

2. Type the "FDISK/MBR" command line in DOS mode and hit enter.

3. Type "SYS C:" in DOS mode and press Enter to execute. This command transfers the Win98 operating system boot file of the A disk to the root directory of the C drive.

4, restart the computer, Win98 operation interface will appear, and finally delete the following files in the C:\\ root directory:

Pagefile.sys

Boot .ini

Ntldr

Ntdetect.com

Ntbootdd.sys (may not exist)

At this point, you can safely and boldly use the XP operating system. The hard disk partition is formatted.

5, Note: This method is only applicable to WinXP and Win98 installed in different hard disk partitions, and XP partition can not be the primary active partition (Primary Active Partition).
