Removing hidden Windows XP components

  

Windows XP may hide a lot of components for system security reasons, even if you don't use them, you can't remove them from the system. The author's method below allows you to remove these hidden components of Windows XP.

The first step is to display system folders and files

Since Windows XP hides system files by default, you can't see them in the Windows Explorer window, so we To make these system files appear "original", the operation steps are as follows: Open the Explorer window, in the "Tools" menu, click the "Folder Options" command, the system pops up the "Folder Options" dialog box, click On the "View" tab, select the "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" checkbox, select the "Show all text and folder" checkbox, and click the "OK" button.

The second step is to edit SySOC. Inf file

The previous step was actually to prepare for us to modify the Windows XP system files, because it is the file that hides some Windows XP components. However, as long as we delete all the "hide" strings in the file, these hidden components can be made. First, in the "Windows Explorer" window, open the 1 blood factory subfolder under the system folder where Windows XP is located. (eg C:Windowsinf), find the Sysoc.inf file in this folder and open it. Then in the window that opens, click the "Replace" command in the "Edit" menu, the system will pop up the "Replace" dialog box, in the "Find Content" box, type "hide," and confirm the "Replace with" box. The content is empty, click the "Replace All" button, in fact, this is to delete all the "hide." strings in the file. Finally, on the File menu, click the Save Exit command.

The third step is to delete the unwanted Window group

After deleting all the "hide," strings in the "Sysoc·inf" file, go to the "Windows Components Wizard" dialog. Look in the box and you will find that there are more components than the original. Now you can delete those components that you don't need.
