Summary of usage of the hexdump command in Linux systems

  
                

hexdump is a command used to view the hexadecimal encoding of files in Linux system. The function is different with different parameters. The following is a small series to introduce the usage of the hexdump command in Linux. If you don't understand, you may wish to use it. Come and learn.

Some view the contents of binary files, binary files such as certain strings contained. Binary files can be converted to ASCII, decimal, hexadecimal or octal for viewing.

-b Each byte is displayed in octal, a total of 16 bytes in a line, starting with a line to display the offset value in hexadecimal;

-c Each byte is displayed in ASCII characters, the rest is the same as above;

-C Each byte is displayed in hexadecimal, a total of 16 bytes in a line, and 16 corresponding ASCII characters are appended to the tail;
