Tizen 1.0 released Linux-based mobile operating system

  

Tizen 1.0 was released, and Taize is a Linux-based open source software platform that runs on smartphones, tablets, netbooks, in-vehicle information systems and smart TVs. It will be managed by a technical steering committee that includes Intel and three stars. Taize's API is based on HTML5 and other web open standards. In addition to the HTML5 application, the Taize SDK will include a native development kit.

This release includes new features and improvements. The SDK updates include:

Emulator: A new browser-based tool that lets you run and debug the Tizen API directly on the web, and Simulate Execution on Different Devices

IDE: Provides More Flexible Templates and Debugging Tools

Simulator: Significantly improved simulator performance through Intel's Hardware Acceleration Manager

Platform source updates include:

Web: Support for additional features of the W3C/HTML5 specification

Location: Support for POI (Point of Interest) and route search

Connectivity : Wi-Fi Direct key features added
