Linux graphical interface and text interface switching operation method

  
 

Switching from the character interface to the graphical interface can be achieved in two simple ways: 1. Enter startx or init 5 in the character interface. 2, by editing the /etc/inittab file to achieve the default into the graphical interface. Change the 3 in id:3:initdefault to 5, so that the system will enter the graphical interface mode directly after the system is started.

Tips:

Remember not to set initdefault to 0, because this will make Linux unable to start.

Remember not to set initdefault to 6, because this will Linux constantly restarts

In the real machine environment, switch between the graphical interface and the text interface: Ctrl+Alt+F(n), where F(n) is F1-F6, which is 6 consoles; Ctrl+ALT+F7; virtual machine environment, switch between graphical interface and text interface: Under VMWare virtual machine, switch from graphical interface to text interface, related to virtual machine settings, default VM takes Ctrl+Alt as hotkey, so The key combination of the graphical interface to the text interface is: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F(n), where F(n) is F1-F6; the key combination of switching from the text interface back to the graphical interface is: Alt+F7;
