Have installed windows system, how to install linux system? The tutorial on the network is not too old or too messy, here I say the basic process:

Before installation, you must know if there is any hard disk in your hard disk The space of the last partition is used for Linux installation. If there is any, you can install it directly, Linux will automatically recognize that space. If there is no space for the final partition, you can make a space from the windows partition.

Right Click "My Computer","Manage"Select "Disk Management" Ok, now choose a disk to install linux, it is recommended to use the last disk. After selecting the disk, right click "Delete disk partition " (Note, important data is saved... so this space is separated from the windows... Next... throw the disk in, follow the prompts... like windows... If you really can't, all the way is ok... If it still doesn't, leave a message for me, I generally have "know it all": http://www.ititgo.cn/ly.asp

Below is a reference article on the web.

3. Start the installation

CD-ROM installation: Change the CD-ROM boot computer in the BIOS, boot into the installation interface with Fedora's first CD, and press the Enter key to start the installation.

Hard disk installation: Put three ISO files in the same directory, such as: G:\\Fedora, use WinISO or WinRAR to extract the dosutils directory of Fedora's first CD ISO file, for example, in the G:\\Fedora directory, with Windows. 98 boot disk into DOS, do not load the optical drive. Switch directory to dosutils, run autoboot to start the installation. Then you will choose the installation method, select the hard disk installation, then you will choose the storage path of the ISO file, select the partition Then fill in the directory name, such as: select /dev/hda8, fill in Fedora.

Note: Linux treats all devices as files. The device connected to the Primary Master is the corresponding device under Linux. The device named hda, the device connected to the Primary Slave is hdb, the secondary master is hdc, and the Secondary Slave is hdd. The /dev directory is where Linux stores device files. The hard disk is connected to the Primary Master. So hda, and the partition is followed by a number, because Linux retains 1-4 as the main partition, so the first logical partition of the extended partition is represented by 5, the D drive is generally hda5, so the above G The disk is also hda8.

Tip: Fedora hides the choice of reiserfs partition format. If the CD is installed, enter linux reiserfs after boot and you can choose to format the partition into reiserfs format during installation. If it is a hard disk installation, you can enter autoboot reiserfs. Sometimes, since the installer does not support your graphics card, you can use the text mode to install, you can enter linux text after boot:.
