The performance library for the "TermService" service in the event log

discovers the event record: The configuration information for the "TermService" service library "C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\perfts.dll" is the same as the trusted performance saved in the registry Library information does not match. Functions in this library are not treated as trusted functions.

TermService is a service of the system.

Terminal Services provides a multi-session environment in which client devices can access virtual Windows desktop sessions and Windows-based programs running on the server. Terminal Services allows users to remotely manage servers.

Stopping or disabling Terminal Services prevents remote management of your computer, making computer management and updates very difficult.

This service is not required for proper operation of the bastion host. When a local policy is used to protect and set the startup mode of a service, only the server administrator is granted access, which prevents unauthorized or malicious users from configuring or operating the service. In addition, disabling this service will effectively reduce the attack surface of the bastion host server. For these reasons, the Terminal Services settings should be configured in BHLP to “disabled”.
There is a bug in the Internet check: After you install Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2) on your computer, you run the process using performance counters. In this scenario, the following warning event is logged in the Application log: Event Source: Perflib Event Type: Warning Event ID: 2003 Description: Configuration information for the performance library for " TermService " Service" C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\perfts The .dll " mismatch trust performance library information is stored in the registry. Functions in this library such as trust will not be processed.
