Solve the trouble after the server reinstallation

The server is one of the more important devices in the LAN. If it accidentally fails, many access activities of the entire LAN will not work normally, which will affect the overall access of the network. effectiveness. In fact, unexpected failures in the server are inevitable, but we don't have to worry about failures. As long as we can master some server troubleshooting methods, we can quickly resolve the faults; instead, the troubleshooting method Improper, not only will affect the normal access efficiency of the network, but also may bring unnecessary economic losses to yourself or the unit!

Dealing with the loss of permissions after reloading

, Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 server system, with the pre-set permissions to access the relevant resources in the server system, if the access rights are accidentally lost due to system failure, then we can not continue to access the previous system resources It is. No, there is a server with Windows 2003 system installed. After accidentally reinstalling the operating system and Active Directory and re-creating the previous user accounts, it is found that the previous users cannot access the server. In the related system resources, why is this?

In fact, in the Windows 2003 server system, the size of the access rights and the SID identifier of each user are one-to-one correspondence, that is, any user The SID identifiers are unique, so when we reinstall the server operating system, even if we create the previous user accounts one by one, the SID identifiers of these users have changed, and the server is based on the user's The SID identifiers are different to determine the access rights. Therefore, after reinstalling the server operating system, all previous user SIDs of www.xker.com (small new technology network) are lost. When these users access the previous system resources again, The server will of course reject their access. In order to solve the problem of losing permissions after reinstalling the server, we may wish to restore the previous user rights by following the steps below:

First find the target shared folder that the user needs to access, then right click on it. And from the pop-up right-click menu to execute the "Properties" command, open the property settings window of the shared folder, click the "Security" tab in the window, enter the tab page shown in Figure 1;

The resources.

Responding to the inability to access after reinstalling

In servers with Windows 2000 operating system, we often find the server system reinstalled After that, the client on the LAN cannot connect to the server system, and the server will also ask the client to enter the login account and password when connecting. Some people may wonder why we can access the resources in the server from the client before the server is reinstalled. After reinstalling the server, how can we not access the server normally?

Actually, before we The reason why we can access the server smoothly is because we have enabled the Guest account that is forbidden by the server, and the Guest account is the default account automatically used when the client connects to the server, so the client relies on the Guest account already activated. You can access the resources in the server; but after reinstalling the server system, the Guest account will be automatically disabled by the Windows 2000 operating system, so when we try to access the server from the client again, of course, it will not happen. The access failure will also pop up a prompt window asking us to re-enter the available legal account.

In order to eliminate the inaccessible failure after reinstalling the server, we must manually reactivate the Guest account that is disabled by default on the server system. When you activate the Guest account, you must log in to the server system as the super administrator account, and then click the Start /Run command in the server system desktop. In the system running dialog box that pops up, enter the string. The command "compmgmt.msc", click the "OK" button, open the system computer management window.

in the list area on the left side of the window, in turn Expand the “System Tools”, “Local Users and Groups”, and “Users” items. In the right area of the corresponding “Users” item, double-click the “guest” option to open the guest account property settings as shown in Figure 3. Window; cancel the selected status of "Account is disabled" in the window, and then click the "OK" button, so that we can re-enable the default account of the server. In the future, when we try to log in to the server again from the client, we can ensure that the login operation is successful.
