Creating a Form

In InfoPath 2003, you can quickly create the form you need. Here's an example of creating a “sales record” to understand the creation of the following form.

(1) Planning of the form:

Before creating the form, first plan the content and layout of the form, the form is beautiful and complete. For example, before creating a "sales record" form, first plan the content in the sales record form that needs to be created, including: form name, sales date, sales product name model, sales phone, email, customer information, etc. content.

Depending on the specific content of the form, we can design the form.

(2) Form design:

When designing a form, click on the "File → Design Form" command in InfoPath 2003, and pop up "Design Form" on the right side. Pane, click the “New Form” command to create a blank form in the main interface of the program. On the right side, the “Task Pane” has been switched to the “Design Task” pane. The required form structure can be quickly designed through the controls, layouts, data sources, views, styles, and more provided in the task pane.

Insert Layout

First click on the "Layout" design task in the task pane, and a list of "Insert Layout Form" will pop up below the task pane. Form format.

Before creating a form, first add a title to the form, and double-click the "pane with title" in the "insert layout table" to add the pane to the current In the action window, or use the mouse to drag the selected layout to the specified location.

You can then enter the form name in the layout, such as: "Sales history”. If you need to merge or split the added layout, you can split and merge the selected cells in the following "Merge and split cells", and you can add other layout information as described above.

Insert control (1) Insert text box

After adding the layout, click the “Control” command to add a text box for the form name, model number, etc. The information content that needs to be filled in later. When adding, first select the text box command in the control category and drag it to the appropriate position. Then you see a text box labeled "field1", which has been added to the specified text box.

Then double-clicking on the text box opens the “Text Box Properties” dialog. In the "domain name", we can enter the name of the text box, select "data type" in the following types, the program defaults to the text type, where you can select the data type of the text box as needed. After changing, click “OK” to return to the program interface.

After inserting the drop-down list box text box, in order to quickly enter the product model in the future, you can add a drop-down list box in the "product model" item, just fill in the form only in the item Select the desired product model.

(3) Insert Date

After the drop-down list box is inserted, the following will also insert a date control into the sales date item, first drag the date control into the date information item. And double-click the date control to set the properties of the date control, enter a name in the domain name, then click on the “data type” drop-down list to select a date type, click on the right side of the "format" Button, open a & ldquo; format list & rdquo; dialog box, select a desired format here, then click & ldquo; OK & rdquo;

(4) Insert optional section

After the above information is added, let's take a look at the customer information. This information should be filled in by the customer. To make an optional entry, first insert a repeating section in the customer information item when inserting this information. When inserting, drag the "optional section" button in the “Control” list to the corresponding location. Then install the above method in the optional section to add the customer name, contact number, email address and other information. Tip: When filling out the form, all the information in the optional section is hidden. Just click the “arrow” button on the left side of the item to expand the list and fill in the customer information. If you enter the customer information first Just click the “small triangle” button on the left and select the “delete” command in the pop-up menu to hide the section information. After the design of the form is completed, in order to make the design form beautiful, we also need to color the form. In the color matching, select the “Color Scheme” command under the “Format” menu, and open the “Color Scheme” list in the task pane. Publishing Forms

After the form is designed, we need to publish the form for the user to fill out. When publishing, click the “Publish” command in the “File” menu to pop up a " ; Publish Wizard & rdquo; dialog box (Figure 4), click "Next" & rdquo; in the "Publishing Wizard", select "Place to publish to" & rdquo; Here include LAN shared folder, SharePoint form Library, web server, where we can choose according to needs, such as publishing to a shared folder on the LAN.
