In Windows Explorer, if you want to know the size of the folder, you usually need to right click on the folder to see it through the properties, which is very troublesome. How can I make the Explorer display the size of the folder.

In fact, Total Size can easily solve this problem.

After the software installation is complete, it is automatically integrated with Windows Explorer. The author takes Windows XP as an example, open the resource manager, click "View → Details", the folder size is not displayed at this time, don't worry, click the "View" menu again, select the "Select Details" command ( In Windows 2000, the name is the selection column), pop up the window shown in Figure 1, find "Total Size", put a tick in front of it, and then rearrange the order of the columns by the "move up" and "move down" buttons, click " OK to close the dialog. At this time, open the Explorer, you will be surprised to find that the size of the folder can be displayed under TotalSize, and the software can automatically remember the location and status of the folder, is it convenient? for better display, it is necessary to set it. Double-click the Total Size manager icon in the system tray to bring up the dialog box shown in Figure 2. Select "Folders" in the "View Style" drop-down list to display only the size of the folder. In the "Column title" type "folder size", in " The View metrics drop-down list provides a measure of the storage capacity of bytes, KB, MB, etc. You can choose according to your needs. Select the numeric separator in "Separator", here select the comma, so there is more to display the capacity. A little more organized.

2 Set Total Size


Meanwhile, at the bottom select "Minimize to tray" and "Run TtalSize Manager at Windows startup" check box, and let the software each time with the system Start and minimize to the system tray. After these settings are complete, click on the "Apply" button and you will see the effect shown in Figure 3.
