Reading a PDG format book with a superstar viewer requires page-by-page flipping. It is very unpleasant and I would like to convert to PDF format for saving, reading and printing. Searching online is basically a way to use PDF virtual printers. Because the new version of ssreader controls the virtual printing, the virtual printer directly using adobe acrobat and office 2003 needs to be renamed. The operation is cumbersome. It has not been successful for several times. I don't want to download and install other virtual printers, so I have to give up temporarily.

By accidentally looking through Acrobat Distiller's help, I found that it can convert PS-formatted print files into PDF files, so new ideas are created and tested. Now we will share the specific methods with you.

1. Find the PS driver for any printer and install it.

Note: It is a real printer (non-virtual printer) driver. It doesn't matter if there is no printer. We just use him to print to a file instead of paper. In addition, there are two types of printer drivers: PCL and PS. We need a PS driver. The PS driver can be downloaded from the printer manufacturer's website, such as Love Fart (HP).

2. Open the PDG file.

3. Calculate the total number of pages in the book (cover + copyright +... + foreword + directory + body).

The number of pages in the text can be seen directly in the viewer. The automatic calculation method for other pages does not have time to study. I use the stupid method: number.

4, display the cover page, select print, the start page is the current page, the number of pages is the total number of pages just calculated;

Select the installed PS printer, select print to file. A dialog box will pop up, enter the file name. The extension of the file is preferably .prn (others are also available, but the prn file Acrobat Distiller can automatically recognize it). The file name preferably has a path for easy searching.

5, open the prn file with Acrobat Distiller, and follow the prompts to convert to a pdf file.

I tested by this method, as long as the transfer time of 1 minute a nearly 500-page book (not including the time course of the number of pages), and from the cover to the body in a pdf file .

3: Then you can use Acrobat Distiller to convert to PDF files, much faster than Acrobat virtual printers. (Machine configuration: CPU 2.8G, 256MB RAM, XP-SP2)

4: The number of pages is not counted. Select all PDG files and how many pages there are.

This method is good and prints much faster than PDF.

Superstar pdg file to pdf file background color change problem research results

I tried a lot of pdg to pdf methods and tools

I still found that PdfFactory is the most efficient. I believe everyone has the same feeling. But after converting to a pdf file with PdfFactory, the background color turns white. It looks very uncomfortable for the eyes.

My analysis may be that PdfFactory software will print the pdg file on a blank paper. For the sake of the above, can you simulate the printing of pdg files on colored paper?
