Software application Q&A: Unable to reload after uninstalling MSN

Q: I downloaded and installed MSN9.0 a few days ago, and then uninstalled it for some reason. After downloading and installing again, I can't install it successfully many times. I don't know what the reason is?

My MSN is placed in the C drive. I deleted the Windows file of the C drive. Is it related to this? I just downloaded it from the official website and said that it is the product or component required to install the protection shield. Does not exist, terminate the installation. How can I install it? Opening the MSN desktop icon is not successful, saying that msnmsgr.exe has been changed or moved, and the shortcut keys are not working properly. Go to other sites to download msnmsgr, the installation also fails, prompt "run-time error '76': path not found", what is going on?

A: Maybe because the previous Windows Live package is not uninstalled Clean and left with remnants, or when installing Windows Live packages, some of the updated system components need to be restarted before proceeding with Windows. Here are a few ways to try it out:

Method 1: After the first installation fails, try restarting Windows and reinstalling the Windows Live package.

Method 2: Uninstall the Windows Live package through the control panel, and then try to reinstall the Windows Live package, completely remove the Windows Live package, and then re-download and install the Windows Live package.

Method 3: Use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to clear entries in the Windows Installer database. Start the utility after downloading at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;zh-cn;290301. Click on all the Messenger entries identified by the utility, then click Remove, exit when finished, re-download and install the Windows Live package.
