Daemon Tool 4.03 Installation Issue

For better installation, I first loaded the previous low version, and then installed the Daemon Tool 4.03 with the following prompt:
This program will install SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD) layer On your computer. WARNING-SPTD is not compatible with kernel mode debuggers (SoftICE, WinDBG etc.)! Please cancel setup if you plan to use kernel debugger on this machine

For security, I chose to cancel, program So I quit the installation. Then I tried it on another computer.
I installed the following error on the computer with Daemon Tool 4.00 installed:
The following prompt appears during installation:
This program will Updatell SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD) layer on your computer. WARNING-SPTD is not compatible with kernel mode debuggers (SoftICE, WinDBG etc.)! Please cancel setup if you plan to use kernel debugger on this machine.

I don't know what the kernel debugger is. So first check the Internet, this does not check do not know, a check scared, the original so many people have problems, it can be seen that this is not a small problem.

I took a look at Daemon's official website forum Looked at it, there is no good solution like this. There are two ways to discuss them:
1. Install DaemonTool in safe mode (if there is an old version, uninstall it in safe mode), if you install SPTD smoothly at this moment, you can transfer to normal mode after installation to continue installation;
2, use 4.03 version to install

currently on the official forum for this discussion will focus on these two methods, yet there are other better ways.

If the English level is good, you can take a look at their Support Forum:

See if it helps?

Then I checked a lot of domestic posts, but it seems that I haven't found an effective way. Many people have failed to use the USB interface for this reason. The system has many unknown faults. I finally concluded that I still don't want to install it now, otherwise I will not reinstall the system. I still use the 3.47 version. It is not too late to install it after the revised version.
If the above problem is solved High opinion, may wish to talk. Let me wait for a long time to see.

The perfect solution to DaemonT4 installation problem, program one:
The first step, this is also the most critical step to solve the DT problem, enter the C drive Delete the system file Windows\\System32\\Drivers\\dtscsi. There are a lot of friends on the Internet who say that downloading sptdinst_x86 (hereafter referred to as x86) is correct, but if you don't delete the file, you can't install x86 at all.

The second step is to download x86 (here is to see your system, if it is not 32bit, go to the version of sptdinst_x64), it is best to put it directly in C or D after downloading Under contents.

The third step, restart, press F8 to enter the safe mode in the power on state, then enter the start menu - run - enter cmd - input D: - then enter D: \\sptdinst_x86. Exe add, you can see the phrase "You need reboot........" when you type it correctly, instead of popping up "This program will install SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD) layer on your computer. WARNING SPTD is not compatible with kernel mode debuggers (SoftICE, WinDBG etc.)! Please cancel setup if you plan to use kernel debugger on this machine." , click OK.

Step 4, restart, install DT4 in normal mode, there will be 'Virtual SCSI Driver Not Detected' after installation, and there is no icon in the lower right corner. Don't worry about it again.

The fifth step, the line is completed, see the icon is not ~~~~~~~~~:)
Solution 2:
Problem My system won't boot after installation of v4, or Problems with SPTD.SYS

If your system has some problems with SPTD installation you can do as follows:

If your OS is already running then go to step 2 directly.
If you Boot in safe mode and press ESC key when you see on bottom line of display:
"Press ESC to cancel loading SPTD.sys" This will abort loading of SPTD layer.

2. Remove or temporarily rename WINDOWS\\System32\\Drivers\\sptd.sys.

3. Reboot again in normal mode and check if your issue is Solved.

In case you had BSOD/crash you can check for minidump (in Windows\\Minidump folder) related to that crash, send newes t file to [email protected] with exact problem description.
Do NOT send minidump, if your problem is solved after removal of Starforce drivers! (Check this thread.)

Note that you have To rename sptd.sys back after the problem causing the crash is solved in order to get Daemon Tools working.

You can also download sptdinst.exe (in our download section) for your Windows version (ie sptdinst_x86 for 32bit Windows, spdtinst_x64 for 64bit Windows) and execute "sptdinst remove", reboot to complete de-installation.

SPTDinst X86
Download: SPTDinst X86

Description: this is the standalone-package of the SPTD-driver. To remove the SPTD-driver, simple download it and via command -console, execute it "sptdinst_x86.exe remove" and SPTD will remove itself from your windows installation. If you want to add it, execute in command console "sptdinst_x86.exe add". SPT D is also used (besides DaemonTools) in some proprietary security, antivirus and monitoring applications which are not disclosed to wide public.

Release Date and Time: Tuesday, January 10 2006, 00:30< BR> Today I tried the above solution and found that it is different on my machine. ESQ stops loading SPTD according to the scheme 2 security mode. SYS, then delete WINDOWS\\System32\\Drivers\\sptd.sys., then REBOOT but there is still an error message when it is installed.
The first solution, I found that the first to delete Windows\\System32\\Drivers\\dtscs..sys are the same, so finally restored this system file, then the second step with the downloaded sptdinst_x86.exe in safe mode DOS Execute sptdinst_x86.exe add in the window, the system prompts, "This program will install SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD) layer on your computer. WARNING SPTD is not compatible with kernel mode debuggers (SoftICE, WinDBG etc.)! Please cancel setup if you Plan to use kernel debugger on this machine." I remember that when booting in safe mode, WINXP SP2 has loaded sptd.sys so I don't think it makes sense to run this here. Therefore, despite the error, I chose "Yes"
and then popped "you need reboot...........". I started WINDOWS XP SP2 normally and started installing Daemon Tool 4.03. There was no error message. I installed it successfully. I ran the DT smoothly. It is normal to check the USB. No other exceptions were found after running the other programs.
The above is my installation attempt in these days, I hope to be useful to everyone.
