Second, set the properties of the input method

Third, define the shortcut key for the input method
You can use the shortcut keys for the input method switching and function conversion. However, in Win98, in order to streamline the system and optimize performance, the input methods of GB and GBK are combined. In addition to the location code and intelligent ABC, other pre-installed input methods have GB and GBK input methods. When they are installed, the default is GB input mode. If you want to input some difficult words, such as “喆,镕” , you can switch to GBK input mode.

The switching method is as follows: Click the input method icon on the right side of the task bar and select “Full spell input method”. At this time, the full spell input method is started.

Right-click on the status bar of the input method and select the "Settings" command.

In the pop-up dialog box, you can see the "Retrieve character set" column, select the "GBK" item, click "OK", and the setting is completed.

Then type "rong" and you will find the word "镕".

You may ask, why is the default setting of the full spell input method in Windows 98 "GB2312"? Originally considering the large number of GBK large character set Chinese characters, if only set to "GBK" large character set, then using the full spell input method will have a large number of heavy codes, seriously affecting the input speed, so set a GB code and GBK A toggle switch for the character set input state. In this way, in general, only the Chinese characters of the GB code are input, and when necessary, the input switch of the GBK large character set is turned on to input the Chinese characters of the GBK large character set.

Why do some people use the Wubi input method, but still retain the "full spell input method"? Yes, it is to facilitate the input of some rare words.
