Tips: Backup personal settings for Pinyin Plus

Pinyin Plus is our commonly used Pinyin input method. We can formulate some personal settings according to our own usage habits in the input method, but when you reinstall the system, these settings will be deleted, you need to use it later. I have to reset it. In fact, we can back up these settings so that we don't have to reset the system every time we install the system.

Backing up the thesaurus and personal settings

We have some custom thesaurus and input habits set in Pinyin, which can be exported as a file. Switch to the input method of Pinyin Plus, click the input method status bar, select “Personal Thesaurus and Input Habits/Backup” in the pop-up menu, then click “OK” button in the pop-up window, then you can put Pinyin Gaga's personal settings are saved as a file with a suffix of JJ4 (see Figure 1).

When you need to restore in the future, just click on the input method status bar and select "Personal vocabulary and input habits/restore". In the pop-up window, select the previously saved JJ4 file. .

Backup Skin

Pinyin Plus also supports skinning function. The software only comes with a few sets of skin by default. We can click on the input status bar and click “Select Skin” in the menu. Choose, if you want more skin, you can go to the website "http://dir.jjol.cn/pyjj/skins.aspx" to download the new skin file. After downloading, put the file in the compressed package to "C: \\Program Files\\jj4\\skins" is ready to use.

When we reinstall the system, we can save the backup by saving these skin files to other partitions. After installing the system, copy the backup skin file to the skins folder and use it (see Figure 2).
