Manually uninstall Norton

Norton Antivirus (hereafter referred to as NAV) has many loyal computer users, which are embedded in the underlying system after installation and provide good virus protection for the operating system. However, precisely because it is embedded in the bottom layer of the system, once the system suffers unpredictable damage, it will often cause NAV to fail to be uninstalled normally, and coverage installation will not be possible (this situation is more common in NAV 2003 and previous versions). At this point, the method adopted by many friends is to simply delete the directory where NAV is located. Some experts will also delete the NAV-related key values in the registry, but even so, the goal of completely uninstalling NAV is not achieved. In fact, we don't have to worry when we encounter this situation, because we can completely uninstall NAV by hand. Note: The following manual uninstallation method is only applicable to NAV 2003 and below only, and no other Symantec products are installed on the system!

Step 1 Download a utility called RNAV2003.exe from Symantec http://www.symantec.com.cn), we can use it to manually uninstall NAV 5.0/2000/2001/2002/Program files and registry keys installed in 2003. However, it does not delete files or registry keys related to virus definitions, subscription information, entries in the task plan, or other shared files that we need to manually delete.
