Alternative Uses for Traditional Inputs

Have you ever thought about replacing the traditional Chinese characters with traditional Chinese characters input using the traditional input method? Is there any mistake, one is the input method, one is how to get a piece of traditional Chinese character library, yes, please see below!

The following example is about the traditional Chinese Wubi input method (can be downloaded from http://roadcom.126.com/)

Before the Law, please check if you have a traditional font that supports IE (if you have already installed it, you don't need to install it). If it is not installed, you can find IELPKZHT.CAB from the IE 5.0/5.5 full installer. After unzipping it, you will see the following file:

advpack.dllCP_950.NLSC_950.NLSlanginst.exelist.txt

MINGLIU.TTFTW.INF unTW.INF

Right-click on "TW.INF" and select "Install". The operation is complete. (Recommended to restart the computer)

Next, install the "Wenhan Traditional Wubi Input Method", after the installation is completed, it will be used normally.

Ok, after the installation is complete, you can do it specifically:

First, use the "Writing Traditional Chinese Wubi Input Method" to input Traditional Chinese into In documents such as Word 2000/XP or other typesetting software.

Then, (here in the Word 2000 document example), after the text to be defined is selected, and select the Chinese font in the font list (as shown in the figure), note that the miracle is about to happen! Careful readers may have noticed that in the font list, the choice is Lishu <Simplified>, but the defined text has become a librarian <Traditional>, is it really wonderful. Most of the operation of other typesetting software can be similar.

Another advantage of using the above method is that it can save a lot of disk space. Why do you say this?

People who often typeset texts know that a Chinese character library, whether it is a simplified Chinese character library or a traditional Chinese character library, takes at least 4-5 megabytes of disk space, and some still have more than 10 megabytes. The habit is to use the line file <simplified/complex> two lines of fonts in the layout process, you need to install a line <simplified> font, and also install the line <Traditional> font, so that it repeats Take up disk space. The size of the traditional Chinese Wubi input method is about 630 Kb. With this input method, you can replace all the traditional Chinese characters. It can save a few tens of megabytes or even hundreds of megabytes of disk space. Is it very Cost-effective!

As mentioned in the above example, in the layout process, the Chinese character library used is mainly Simplified Chinese. If you are using Traditional Chinese as the main typesetting, please install the IE simplified font library and install it. Simplified input method and other operations, of course, the system font library only needs to install the traditional Chinese character library. When doing the traditional-> simplistic font conversion, according to the above operation, it is very similar, very simple.
