Ghost image file maintenance tips

Ghost is one of our commonly used system backup tools. It can be used to make a crashed system "revived" in just a few minutes, so it is popular among computer enthusiasts. However, the image file is also very "fragile". If you accidentally "harm" it, you will be able to go back when you want to use it! In fact, as long as you master the following tips, you can easily maintain the image file:

1. Place the image file (ie.GHO file) on a separate hard disk partition as much as possible, and don't often The files that need to be read and written are put together.

2. Try not to defragment the hard disk partition where the image file is located, so as not to damage the image file.

3. Regularly use Ghost Explorer to maintain image files. To do this, click "Start → All Programs → GHOST → GhostExp.exe", click the "File → Open" command to open the image file, and then click the "File → Compile" command, in the "Save As" dialog box that appears. Enter a file name for the compiled new image file, click the "Save" button to start compiling, the window status bar will display the compilation progress, and you will see the new image file when you are finished. Note: Due to the large number of disk read and write operations during the compilation process, the system response speed will be slower. It is recommended to close all unrelated applications before compilation to release system resources, thus ensuring the smooth compilation.
