Windows10 automatic maintenance function management tutorial

"Automatic Maintenance", as its name implies, is an automated maintenance operation that does not require manual intervention by the user when Windows is idle, such as software updates, security scans, system diagnostics, disk defragmentation, and SSD disk optimization. This feature is not only available in client operating systems such as Windows 10, but also in Windows Server.
By default, Windows 10 automatic maintenance tasks are performed every day, users can click on the change maintenance settings in Control Panel — System and Security & mdash; Security & Maintenance & mdash; Automatic Maintenance to specify automatic maintenance tasks to start daily Time, and you can manually choose whether to allow the computer to wake up to perform maintenance.

Because Windows 10 automatically maintains a lot of system resources, it will lead to CPU usage, high memory usage and frequent disk reads and writes, so it will start to operate when the system is idle. If the time for the task has arrived and the user is found to be using the computer, the automatic maintenance time will be postponed.
Suspend Windows 10 Automated Maintenance
Of course, Windows is not a panacea. If users only view web pages or perform low-volume document operations, Windows 10 may misinterpret the computer in a space state. At this point, the maintenance operation of high resource occupation is started, which is likely to affect our work.
If you find that Windows 10 has a strangely high resource count, you can pause maintenance by clicking Stop Maintenance in Control Panel —Systems & Security—Security & Maintenance—Automated Maintenance.

Disabling Windows 10 Automated Maintenance
Although I personally don't recommend it to everyone, I can still disable Windows 10 Auto Maintenance by changing the registry.
1. Press Windows + X to execute regedit on the fly to open the registry
2. Browse to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionScheduleMaintenance
3. Create a new 32-bit DWORD value named MaintenanceDisabled, and Setting the value to 1 completely disables the automatic maintenance feature of Windows 10.

If you want to re-enable, just change the above registry value to 0.
