Bash and Command Prompt Improvements
• Bash: Previous versions may have problems with Ubuntu's Bash tools being blocked from networking, such as the inability to find servers and the inability to download applications. 14332 has fixed the problem, users no longer need to manually modify the resolv.conf file. Also fixed the issue of calling mv between the /mnt and non-/mnt driver files, the directory has been moved to the correct position between the two points.
• Command Prompt: There are several improvements, including improved scaling for high DPI displays, better fonts, and international character rendering. It also includes several cursor rendering and hiding improvements, improved background color rendering, and improved scrolling of the nano & EMACS editor.
Cortana searches for Office 365
On the computer, Xiaona currently searches for Office 365 content, including mail, contacts, calendar, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint. To use this feature, simply add your Office 365 work or school account to your connected account in your Cortana notebook. When you use it, you need to select the appropriate filter (such as mail, contacts, calendar or documents, etc.) above, and then you can search and see the results of Office 365 content.
It should be noted that there is currently a problem with this server, so the above search service is temporarily unavailable. At present, Microsoft is solving the problem, and the service can be restored after the repair.
Improve PC battery life in Connected Standby
This version has built-in Connected Standby technology to silence less important program activity so that the computer can continue to be important in standby mode. Program networking work to extend battery life.
To see if your computer has Connected Standby enabled, run the powercfg /a command in the command prompt administrator mode. If you see the first line giving Standby (S0 Low Power Idle) Network Connected, this means that your computer has this feature enabled.
If you are using this feature to find the problem, there are two solutions:
1, enter the settings → system → battery, the background open the application you intend to run in Connected Standby mode (select “ Always allow ”);
2. If you want to fully recover to the old behavior in Connected Standby, you can run the following command in command prompt administrator mode:
• powercfg /setdcvalueindex SCHEME_CURRENT SUB_ENERGYSAVER ESPOLICY 0
• powercfg /setactive scheme_current
Note: If you want to restore the new Connected Standby behavior, simply change the last “0” of the first command above to “1”
