Method 1:

This feature does not require you to format the selected partition, so the original files in the partition can be retained. However, for insurance reasons, you should back up your own files.

In the WindowsApps folder, the files are encrypted, so if you install the app to a mobile storage device, you don't have to worry about this data loss if the device is lost.
