How to use virtual disk in Win7 system?

  

A virtual disk, as its name implies, is not a real disk, a virtualized disk that appears as a disk. In the Win7 system, you can create virtual disk partitions by using the “Disk Management” tool. First, create a virtual disk through the "Disk Management" tool

The format of the virtual hard disk is "dynamic expansion" and "fixed size", where "dynamic" The "extend" item indicates that the Win7 system dynamically adjusts the size based on the saved data. The "fixed size" item indicates that the size of the virtual disk is fixed.

1. In the Win7 system, click “Start →Run”, in the “Run” window text box, enter “diskmgmt.msc” and press Enter;

2. In the "Disk Management" window that is open, click <;Operation & Rarr; Create VHD", pop-up "Create and attach virtual disk” window;

3. Click “Browse & rdquo ; button, pop-up "Browse virtual disk file" window, set the save location and file name, click “ save & rdquo;;

4, return & ldquo; create and attach virtual disk & rdquo; window, Set the capacity of the virtual disk, select the virtual disk format, and finally click the “OK” button (as shown in Figure 1). At this time, “Disk Management” will add a virtual disk named “Disk 1”.

Second, the initialization of the virtual disk

After completing the first step, we created a virtual disk, you will find that creating a virtual disk in Win7 system is not difficult, but just created The virtual disk must be "initialized" before it can be used.

1. Right click on the mouse and click on Disk 1” in the shortcut menu that pops up, select “Initialize Disk”;

2. Open “Initialize Disk”Window, tick Select the disk, select the partition form, click the “OK" button (Figure 2), the virtual disk initialization is completed.

Third, the creation of the virtual drive letter

After the virtual disk is created, and the initialization is successful, we will also assign a drive letter to the virtual disk.

1. Right-click on the newly created virtual disk and go through the “Initialize” virtual disk. In the pop-up menu, select “New Simple Volume” and start “New Simple Volume Wizard”;

2, under the guidance of the wizard to specify the volume size, assign drive letter, format … …, and finally click the "Complete" button, complete the volume creation, open the "computer" window, you can see Go to "virtual disk" (Figure 3).

Fourth, the virtual disk is closed and deleted

1. Open the “Disk Management” window, right click on the “Virtual Disk” icon, and select ““Offline” in the pop-up menu to temporarily close the “Virtual Disk”. ;, if you want to use, go to the "Disk Management" window, right click on "Virtual Disk", select "Online", you can restore;

2, if you want to completely delete the virtual Disk, you can go to the "Disk Management" window right-click "Virtual Disk" icon, select "Separate VHD", in the pop-up "Separate Virtual Hard Disk" window, click the "OK" button. The virtual disk can be completely removed.

When separating virtual disks, if you select "Delete virtual hard disk files after deleting disks", separating virtual disks will completely delete virtual disk files. If you do not check "Delete virtual hard disk files after deleting disks" ;, separate virtual disk will retain the virtual disk file, later to create a virtual disk, just go to the "disk management" window, click <; operation & rarr; add VHD & rdquo;, the virtual disk file can be imported to generate a virtual disk.
