Microsoft changes Windows 10 activation rules: cloud storage state reload "free activation"

After Windows 10 was released, Microsoft has adjusted its activation rules - the new method makes the system easier to reinstall than Windows 8.1 and Windows 7. The biggest change is that the new method can store the activation state in the cloud, so that when users reinstall Windows 10, they no longer need to manually enter the product key, because the system will automatically complete the subsequent activation process for you.

Prior to this, the user had to repeat the manual activation process after each reload, unless you have a UEFI-based laptop and pre-installed the Windows 8.1 operating system.
In fact, when you reinstall Windows 10, the system will still ask twice whether to enter the product key, but the user can skip this step directly.
When the system is connected to the network and confirmed that it has been activated on the same hardware, the device will be activated automatically. From the user's point of view, this change is like "free activation."

a long time, Microsoft's activation servers are dependent on the unique ID-based hardware hash, hash values are not available due to the reverse speculation, it does not mandate Microsoft bundled services. (In other words, it means that the device does not recognize people.)
In previous versions of Windows, this hash value (aka "installation ID") was recorded in the previous installation with the product installation key. Activate the database. So when a consumer tries to install the same version of Windows on the same hardware, the key is automatically activated.
After upgrading to Windows 10, the installer can check the activation status of Windows and report it to the activation server. The Windows Activation Server generates a hardware-based hash-based license for Windows 10 Home or Professional, so there is no longer a need to prove that the Windows copy is a legitimate product key (via the Software License Management Tool).
