Win10 Registry: Innovator Update Path Simplification Essentials

In the Win10 Innovator Update Preview 14965, the Registry Editor ushered in an update. This update is mainly to make the path more simple and easy to input, just three or four letters can replace the previous lengthy path prefix.

Users of IT homes with common registries should know that each registry path prefix is capitalized "long”. In the future, we don't have to give this “large and long” content in a simplified way (simplified content does not have to be capitalized):

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT = HKCR

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER = HKCU< Br>

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE = HKLM

• HKEY_USERS = HKU

• HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG = HKCC

After knowing the above rules, we can try to enter the destination path in a convenient way. For example, go to the following figure:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\ContentDeliveryManager

You can now use the following path:

HKCU\\ SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\ContentDeliveryManager

After entering the above in the registry address bar, press the Enter key to automatically jump to the destination path. In addition, if you want to select the address bar path, you can use Ctrl+L or Alt+D to quickly implement it. Maybe you think that this simplification only works for the front of the path, and it is still very long. The key is that if you want to omit it, the rule will be difficult to grasp. Microsoft engineers are also very difficult to handle. This is not a simplification problem, but a problem in which certain paths are deep like the sea.
