What can I do if I can't find Win7 SP1 in Windows Update?

The official version of Win7 SP1 has been released for a long time, and Win7 SP2 should be able to see the Beta version soon. However, some friends still want to upgrade through Windows Update online. They have encountered a problem: Win7 SP1 cannot be found in Windows automatic update. After all, downloading SP1 package is too large and too slow. The online upgrade method is indeed the most worry-free and reliable. One kind.
What is going on here? The soft media editor has seen an article on Lenovo's technical support website, hoping to help everyone.
Problem Description:
When you use Windows Update to check for updates, there is no option to download Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1).
Problem Cause:
1. Windows 7 SP1 is installed, or the pre-release version of Windows 7 SP1 is not uninstalled (Windows 7 SP1 RC)
2. The previous update patch is not installed in place
3. There are conflicts or missing system files
Solution:
1. Uninstall Windows 7 SP1 RC
If Windows 7 SP1 has been installed, Windows 7 SP1 will not be listed in the list of available updates. This situation is not considered. If the Windows 7 SP1 update does not display because Windows 7 SP1 RC is installed, you can uninstall it.
The safest way is to use “programs and features”.
Type in the Start Search box: View the installed updates and press Enter.

Find "Microsoft Windows Service Pack (KB 976932)", then right click and select "Uninstall".

You can also use the command prompt to uninstall SP1. In the Start Search box, type: Command Prompt, then right-click and select “Run as administrator”.

(This step requires administrator privileges. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.)

In the command window type: wusa.exe /uninstall /kb:976932. Press the Enter key to execute.

2. Pre-installation patch
Update KB976902 is a prerequisite for installing a service pack. Check it out and fill it up if you don't have it.
Type in the Start Search box: Check for updates and press Enter.

Click “Check for updates from Microsoft Update online.

Expand “xx important updates available”, find and select the Windows7 update program KB976902, press “OK”Install. After

complete the installation, if you are prompted to restart the computer, restart.
Check if Windows 7 SP1 appears in Windows Update? If it still doesn't work, download Windows 7 SP1 directly from the Microsoft Download Center.
3, program conflicts or lack of system files
These situations are more complex, need to be analyzed according to the specific situation, here are just two examples:
1) application class: some programs may also cause this problem Occurs, such as when your computer is running SafeCentral version 2.9.0.0 or earlier, you must first update SafeCentral before you can install Windows 7SP1.
2) Driver Class: Some drivers may also cause this problem, such as when you use one of the following Intel integrated graphics drivers, Windows Update will not provide you with the update KB2454826 (if update KB2454826 is not installed, then Windows 7 SP1 does not appear in Windows Update):
- Igdkmd32.sys (32-bit), version 8.15.10.2104 to 8.15.10.2141
- Igdkmd64.sys (64-bit), version 8.15.10.2104 to 8.15 .10.2141
