WIN7/XP system in the LAN file sharing settings method
Problem phenomenon
When Windows XP and Windows 7 computers are connected via LAN, it is often difficult for a computer with Windows XP system to find a computer with Windows 7 system in the network neighborhood, and vice versa. The specific performance is that the computer can display the computer name in the network neighborhood but cannot access it, or can not find the other party's computer.

In terms of access rights, WIN7 does a lot of restrictions. Through the setting of WindowsXP and Windows7 operating system, LAN interconnection and file sharing of Windows 7 and Windows XP systems can be realized.
The system's firewall (Mcafee, Norton, etc.) must be turned off before setting. If you must use the firewall function, you are advised to consult the anti-virus software company specific LAN permissions settings.
Solutions

Setting sharing may have a negative impact on the security of data in your computer. You should balance the security, security and sharing. For added security, it is recommended to use the NTFS disk format and set read and write permissions for private files.
1, WIN7 system setting method:
select the folder to share, right click on the folder properties, set the folder advanced sharing options, select security options after sharing, add guest permissions, and sometimes two computers access shared files When prompted to enter the password is because the WIN7 end does not close the password protection sharing, the following is to close the password protection sharing method:
right click on the wireless network icon, select Open Network and Sharing Center, click Change Adapter Settings, turn off password protection sharing, Be sure to exit
.
2, XP access WIN7 side of the method:
First set XP side file sharing method
Open my computer selection tool & mdash; & mdash; folder options & mdash; & mdash; view (label) uncheck After simple sharing, you can confirm, then open Network Neighborhood, choose to view the workgroup computer, you can now see the shared WIN7 computer, and quickly open it (Attachment BB)
3, XP side shared folder setting method:
Select the folder to share, click the right mouse button and select Share and Security (Attachment CC) to select the sharing option. The location of the single machine is as shown in the figure. Open the folder sharing and security option settings again, add the guest account, like the WIN7 side, XP also needs to add the guest permission, after adding, you can set the access permission of the guest user, set here to read and write, after setting OK to close the dialog box
XP has been set up, you can now use the WIN7 side to access the shared folder
