Optional Win7 "sleep" and "sleep" mode

I looked at a bunch of photos on the computer waiting to be processed, hesitant to shut down the computer. If you shut down, many programs and web pages will be reopened when you come back; if you don't shut down, the computer will be wasted. It’s a bit of a dilemma ……
Big Brother smiled and said: “Win7 has sleep and hibernation, choose a 呗!”
“What is the difference between sleep and dormancy?” I asked.
Big Brother told me that the computer will cut off the power of other accessories except memory when the status is “sleep”, the working status data will be saved in the memory. When you need to wake up, just press the power button or shake the USB. The mouse can quickly wake up the computer to restore the state of the computer before sleep. However, because the sleep state does not save the desktop state to the hard disk, if the power is turned off during the sleep state, the unsaved information will be lost, and it is better to save the document once before the system sleeps. If you need to leave the computer for a short time, you can use the sleep function to save power and resume work quickly.
Hibernate  state is to save the open document and program to a file on the hard disk, wake up and read data from this file, and load physical memory, this file is the same size as physical memory. Since the file written by memory during hibernation is a disk file, the speed of reading is much higher than that of accessing the disk during normal startup, which is naturally much faster than normal startup. In the sleep state, even if the power is turned off, it will not affect the saved data. When the computer wakes up, all the work can still be resumed normally. After entering the sleep state, all accessories are not powered, so the power consumption is very small. Sleep mode can be used if the computer is not used for a long time.
I want to go out for a ride for a long time, and the time is longer, just choose "sleep" mode is good. I clicked the round button in the lower left corner of the Win7 desktop, and then clicked on the small triangle next to the "Shutdown" button, but there is no "Hibernate" option in the pop-up menu. I am a bit puzzled.

“Hybrid sleep” mode, there is no "sleep" option in the shutdown menu
Big Brother said this is because the current Win7 system is set to "mix sleep" mode, enter mixed sleep After that, the system will first save the data in the memory to the hard disk, and cut off the power supply of other devices except the memory. During recovery, if there is no power failure, the system will recover directly from the memory, only a few seconds; if the power is off, because the memory is still stored in the hard disk, you can also recover from the hard disk without worrying about data loss. . However, the hybrid sleep mode requires the motherboard's power management to support the S3 mode. If your computer supports the Hybrid Sleep feature, then when you start Sleep after turning on the Hybrid Sleep feature, the system automatically goes into Hybrid Sleep.
If we want to choose the "sleep" or "sleep" mode, you can turn off the hybrid sleep mode in the settings.
Open the "System & Security" panel in “Control Panel" in "Power Options" "Change Computer Sleep Time”.

Change your computer's sleep time
Select “Change advanced power settings> in the pop-up settings window.

Change Advanced Power Settings
In the Power Options' "Advanced Settings", we found the "Sleep" option, which will be in the "Allow Hybrid Sleep" setting option. “Open” becomes “close”.

Close Hybrid Sleep
Now we return to the Win7 desktop, the “Hibernate” option appears in the Expand menu of “Shutdown”.

If you want to use the hibernation function, you must pay attention to whether your system has enough space. In order to run the system stably, the available space should generally account for about 10% of the system partition. If the system has less partition space and there is no need to use the Win7 system sleep function, you can also turn off the hibernation function to save hard disk space.
