How to activate Windows 7 system and Office2010

in large quantities First of all, please don't misunderstand, this article is not to teach you how to pirate, but to explore how to make genuine activation of large-scale enterprises or school rooms.
As you know, the volume license version of Office 2007 was not required to be activated (installation completed), but since Office2010, Microsoft has changed the "open" process of Office products, which means all The versions (FPP and VL) need to be activated before they can be used normally. This requires administrators of large enterprises to use the Windows Software Protection Platform (SPP), which means that administrators need to understand and learn about the process of batch activation of Office.
For example, a Key Management Service (KMS) host can be used to activate Office 2010, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2. Of course, even if Office is not activated, the user will only see a reminder "notification", but still be able to operate Office documents, such as: open, save, edit and print.
This article mainly introduces you to the basic process and information of volume activation, such as configuring KMS host and MAK.
How to activate Office2010 Volume Licensing Edition?
Users can activate Office2010 Volume Licensing Edition in two ways: default is KMS mode —— local activation service, KMS needs to configure a separate computer The activation process is performed with a proxy client. The other is the MAK method, which is similar to the retail version: it requires an Internet connection to Microsoft or phone activation.
What is KMS?
KMS is the host that activates all Office2010 clients within the enterprise. It needs to be able to connect to Microsoft over the network. Because KMS uses the “lightweight” service, it takes up less system resources and is usually held by other servers in the enterprise. Microsoft's internal KMS server has activated more than 8,000 Office2010 technology previews for internal and public network testers, and it has also been used to activate Windows 7 and Windows Vista computers.
The volume license version of Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 can be configured to activate the KMS host for Office 2010. This task can also be undertaken after Windows Server 2003 has installed KMSService. When the administrator first enters the activation key of the KMS host and confirms it, it will automatically register the corresponding service record in the DNS, so the KMS client can query it from the network. Of course, the KMS host is also configured with the slmgr.vbs script.
By default, the KMS client's key has been pre-integrated into the corresponding software, so the end user does not need to manually enter the installation key when installing OfficeProfessionalPlus2010. For example, when User A installs Office 2010, it will automatically find the KMS server in the enterprise through DNS and automatically perform the activation process. The KMS server can not only activate Word2010, Excel2010 and PowerPoint2010, but also activate Visio2010, Project2010 and InfoPath2010. After KMS activation is not permanent, the KMS client must reconnect to the KMS server to activate the product within 180. Within 180 days of the first activation to the next activation, the KMS client must actively contact the KMS server for reactivation, and the activation can be used for another 180 days. If the activation fails for some reason, Office 2010 will pop up a prompt asking the user to activate every 7 days.
What is MAK?
Users just need to recall the activation process of Office2007FPP (retail version) to understand MAK (MultipleActivationKey) very easily, when the user starts one of the components after installing Office2007FPP for the first time. The pop-up interface asks the user to connect to Microsoft's activation server for activation (or phone activation).
The activation principle and process of the MAK are the same as the FPP key except for the number of key activations for different enterprises or organizations. For example, if a company purchases 50 sets of Office 2010, its Oiffice2010MAK activation key can activate Office 2010 installed on 50 computers. The client is connected to Microsoft's activation server to activate the product. Each time a product is activated, Microsoft automatically deducts 1 point from the 50 counts of the activation server.
After the MAK is activated, the product can be permanently used on the same computer before reinstalling. The user can also use the MAK key to activate it again (without deduction). Microsoft will use certain algorithms to confirm whether the user is installed on the same computer. If the user replaces a large PC such as a disk or a motherboard, Microsoft may recognize and judge that the user is activated on another computer, and then deduct points.
What is the difference between batch activation of Windows and Office 2010?
Although the technology used in batch activation of Windows and Office2010 is the same, there are still the following matters that need attention:
The operating system that can be configured to activate Office2010KMS activation server has : Windows Server 2003 (FPP or VL) and VL version of Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2.
If you want to activate multiple products (such as Office2010 and Windows7) on the same KMS server, you need to install and activate the WindowsKMS host key and OfficeKMS host and key at the same time.
When five or more Office 2010 computers are connected to the KMS server, they will be activated together. For Windows client operating systems (Windows Vista and Windows 7), it is necessary to reach 25 connections to the KMS server to be activated.
Note: Volume2010 authorized Office2010 users can choose MKS or MAK activation mode according to the actual needs of their own enterprise environment.
