Clear the cached file map to the system skinny

In Microsoft's Windows XP/Server 2003 operating system, there are always some conditions or more and more cards when the system is installed for a few months or longer. Of course, there are many reasons for this. One of the reasons. Put, the cache of picture thumbnails.
When browsing images in BMP, JPEG, GIF, GI F, etc. in thumbnails or slideshows in Explorer, even when browsing PDF and HTM documents, the relevant thumbnails are automatically generated by default. Cache, this is the Thumbms.db file that appears again after deletion, and these files are always repeated under the image folder.
However, when you enter the Windows Vista era, you will find that Thumbs.db can't be found under the image folder. Is it that they have gone wrong and no longer exist? Of course not. In fact, Microsoft designers just changed the way thumbnails are stored. They are stored together in a centralized location, and the path is located at "X:\\Users\\Administrator\\AppData\\Local\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Explorer\\” where "X: " is the drive letter of the Windows Vista installation disk. As shown in the figure, here we can see a lot of files with file names similar to thumbcache_sr.db. These files are very large and take up a lot of disk space. For example, the size of this file reaches an astonishing 159MB. More, it is recommended to clean up regularly. However, when deleting these files, you need to obtain the appropriate permissions. If you are afraid of trouble, simply restart to another system and periodically complete the deletion.
Tip: If you want to cancel the function of caching thumbnails under Windows XP, you can open the “ folder options → view & rdquo; dialog box, check the "Do not cache thumbnails" check box here. .
