How to change the Windows Picture Viewer background color

Windows
Picture Viewer is the default picture viewer in Microsoft

, has always been simple, A neat and clean user interface is preferred by users. If you use Windows
8.x /7 /Vista /XP, you can easily use the Windows
Image Viewer as the default image opening tool if you use Windows
10, you can set the image viewer as the default open program as we did in the previous article.

By default, the Windows Image Viewer uses white (color code #eef3fa) as the background color. If you often open a transparent background (such as PNG) image or white image, you will find the image body and Windows image. The background color of the viewer is very difficult to distinguish. Or you are a designer or photographer who often looks at pictures. It is easy to visual fatigue when using white as a background. Even Photoshop
has been changed to a neutral gray interface.

So, this article will introduce you to the method of changing the background color of the Windows Picture Viewer. You can change it to any color you like.

Change the background color of the Windows Picture Viewer

1. Press Win + R — Run regedit on the fly to open the registry

2. Browse to the following path: Br>

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\

Microsoft\\Windows Photo Viewer\\Viewer

3. Right-click on the blank to create a new 32-bit DWORD value called BackgroundColor.

Double-click the newly created BackgroundColor and enter a hexadecimal color code value starting with ff. You can pick it up in Photoshop. I personally recommend using neutral gray:

Ff808080

Re-opening the Windows Picture Viewer and changing the background color will take effect immediately after the change:
