How to turn on AHCI to improve hard disk performance

  
Description: In Win7, in addition to hardware changes, is there any way to improve the performance of the hard disk?





Generally speaking, our hard drives are not fully functional yet. All the performance, you can use some settings to play the performance that has not yet played, to make better use of all the resources of the hard disk, thereby increasing the speed of the hard disk, to achieve the performance of the improved hard disk.
Workaround: You don't need to download other software, you only need a few simple steps to achieve the effect and improve the speed of the hard disk.
First of all, open the “Run” tool in the &Startquo;Start” menu (the keyboard Win+R key combination can be quickly opened). Enter “regedit” and click “OK”.

Click “OK" to open the Registry Editor. Then, follow the path "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"; →“SYSTEM”→"CurrentControlSet”→“services”→“msahci” find the file location, and finally open the right side of "Start", put the pop-up window The number "3" was changed to ""0”.

Win7 open AHCI special considerations
You can restart your computer after changing the value. After rebooting, enter the BIOS and change "SATA RAID/AHCI Mode" to "AHCI". Different BIOSes will have different differences. I will not explain them here.

Open AHCI mode in BIOS
By default, the notebook automatically turns on AHCI mode, and the desktop computer motherboard defaults to IDE compatibility mode. If AHCI is enabled in the BIOS and there is no modification in Win7 as shown in Figure 4, it may cause the computer to turn on the blue screen.
Finally, you can also test the score of your system. Go to “ Control Panel & rdquo; → & ldquo; System Security & rdquo; & rarquo; & ldquo; Detect Windows Health Check Index & rdquo; can see the system's scores.
