computer was originally xp system later changed to win7 system, found that the DVD drive can not be used, installed the system has not moved anything, another computer has changed the system, but A DVD drive can be used. Is it because the computer is new, the configuration is better? This is a friend asked me the question, the answer is indeed because the configuration of another computer is better, win7 supports its DVD drive.

Of course, the problem can be solved. Why can't you explain it first?
win7 can't identify your DVD. Microsoft officially explained it because of SATA driver (Msahci.sys) The new power management features of Adaptive Link Power Management (ALPM) have caused certain optical drive ALPM features to be enabled and disabled to function properly and may cause the computer to become unrecognizable.

win7 does not recognize the symptoms of the DVD drive
Select the properties by right-clicking on the computer - Hardware - is the device manager, then look inside to see if the corresponding DVD has a yellow exclamation mark. As shown below:

Workaround 1:
Click Start - Run, type regedit into the registry editor, and then navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/Current ControlSet/Control/Class/{4D36E965-E325- 11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Delete the Upperfilter item and the Loweverfilter item in the right frame. Note that you need to restart to take effect, and deleting these two items will cause your CD-ROM drive to lose some functions, but it is much better than not being able to use it.

Solution 2:
Enter CMD in the run, remember to run as administrator, and then pop up the window input: bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS. After restarting, it can also solve the problem that your computer cannot recognize the DVD drive.
The above is about why the win7 system DVD drive can not be used. Can't blame your CD-ROM drive is not right, just good win7 does not support, if the computer bought for a long time or change one.
