Many laptops today are equipped with a fingerprint reader, which is much more convenient by scanning fingerprints instead of entering passwords. In the past, we needed to install a third-party application to use fingerprint recognition. In Win7, the system provides built-in support for fingerprint recognition devices. You can use fingerprint recognition in Win7 without installing any third-party applications.
Click Start, All Programs, Windows Update, click the Check for Updates button.

Open Windows Update Computer Knowledge
Select the detected fingerprint identification device driver and click the Install Update button.

Installation Updates
The fingerprint identification device driver needs to be restarted after the installation is complete.
After the computer restarts, click Start, Control Panel, Hardware & Sound, Biometric Devices.

Open Windows Biometrics Device
Click to manage fingerprint data.

Click “Manage Fingerprint Data&
Click on the finger icon you want to set and enter the Windows account password.

Entering a password
Put your finger on the fingerprint reader to scan the fingerprint information according to the on-screen prompt information.

Scanning fingerprints
After fingerprint scanning, log off the computer and log in to Windows by scanning the fingerprint.
The frequent occurrence of privacy breaches has made everyone pay more and more attention to information security.
