Printer Sharing Settings between Win7 and Mac OS X

  
For work or other reasons, many people have set up a small LAN in their home and office so that we can share the printer. All computers can be shared with just one printer.
The most popular computer operating systems are Microsoft's Windows system and Apple's OSX system. Apple Mac OSX 10.3 or higher system supports sharing a printer with a computer using Windows. First we set up the network, and then make sure the printer and computer are connected to the LAN. Next, let's tell you how to connect a printer to a computer with a different operating system with Win7 and OSX.
One. Computer settings for Win7 operating system
1. Click the Start button at the bottom of the screen.
2. Select the control panel from the pop-up list.
3. Select “Programs and Features”.
4. Click “ to turn Windows features on or off.

5. Open the LPD protocol.

6. Make sure the printer is set to share.
Two.Mac OSX operating system computer settings
1. Launch the application.
2. Select a utility.
3. Select the printer setting tool.
4. Hold down the Option key and click the “More Printers” button.
5. Select Advanced from the top menu.
6. In the LPD/LPR Host protocol, select the device address of the printer.
7. Enter://PCName/PrinterShareName in the URL dialog box, which is the device address of the printer.
8. Click the “Add” button.
Through the above operations, printer network sharing under Win7 and OSX operating systems can be realized.
