By modifying the system settings to retrieve the disappearing Windows 7 search box

  

By default, after clicking the Windows 7 Start menu, users can pass the "Search Programs and Files" (that is, under Windows XP, everyone used to call it The "Search Box" location) box searches for files or directly calls system components. Recently, some netizens described the problem in the email sent to the author: after installing a software and restarting the system, the "search box" at the start menu is gone (see Figure 1).

Users familiar with Windows 7 should know that above the "All Programs", it should be the "Search Programs and Files" box for Windows 7. What software is installed causes this problem to appear, I am not interested in knowing, but we can retrieve the disappeared Windows 7 search box by modifying the system settings.

Go to the Control Panel and double-click Programs and Features. In the window that opens, click "Turn Windows features on or off" in the upper left corner (Figure 2)
