Windows 7 system network traffic has reached 10% of the total traffic

According to Net Applications market statistics in January, the network traffic caused by the Windows7 system just released in October last year has reached the total traffic. About 10%, this is the best score ever achieved by the Windows 7 operating system. In the past, the average network traffic share of this operating system was 7.51%, and this score was up by 1/3 compared with last December's share.

Overall, the market share of the Windows operating system is still decreasing. Its market share in January was 92.02%, but one of its rivals, Mac OSX, only snatched a small share, Mac OSX. In January, the market share only increased slightly to 5.13%. The iPhone market share was the most iPhone (market share 0.47%) and Java ME (market share 0.59%). Linux market share remained. At 1.02%, it is basically unchanged.

In addition, Microsoft's share of the browser market has also declined in January this year, but the loss of IE market share is mainly due to Google Chrome browser. The market share of Internet Explorer has dropped to the lowest 62.18% in history, while Google Chrome’s share has risen to 5.2%. In addition, the market share of Apple's Safari browser has only slightly increased to 4.51%, while the market share of Firefox has decreased to 24.41%.

Net Applications has not analyzed the reasons for the changes in the market share of Microsoft operating systems and browser products. However, we believe that the increase in PC sales during the holidays is one of the main reasons for the increase in market share, and the increase in Google Chrome's share depends on the release of the new version of Chrome 4.0.
