Win7 pulls up Windows application software hot

  

According to the survey data of the market research company NPD Group, the total retail sales of US software in 2009 decreased slightly compared with the same period of last year, with a drop of about 1%.

In a five-week holiday, software sales totaled $278 million, a much better improvement than the 13% decline in sales in 2008. In the 2009 holiday season, the overall operating system software revenue was $29 million, while the 2008 revenue was $10 million. Education software sales revenue increased by 15% year-on-year, business software sales were flat with last year, but compared with other types of software, business software sales revenue was the highest, reaching $77 million.

Stephen Baker, vice president of industry analysis at NPD Group, declared: "Although the overall revenue of holiday software sales declined slightly, sales of boxed software increased due to increased investment in holiday sales. Office 2007 The software price is downgraded, and the sales of the Windows7 boxed version are still hot for the overall software retail. However, the current weakness of the game software proves that there are still many problems in the software market to be resolved."
