Microsoft Vice President: Windows7 will not support future ARM processors

Microsoft Windows platform strategy leader, company vice president Mike Nash said today that Windows 7 will not support future ARM processors and will continue to work closely with Intel.

This means that many ARM manufacturers plan to release the ARM processor small portable computer in 2010 will not be supported by the Windows user base.

But Nash said that Windows CE can run perfectly on ARM processors, so it's also an option. The market reaction shows that netbook users are willing to pay the extra cost of Windows 7, even though some are cheaper. Operating system vendors are available, but Microsoft does not want Windows 7 to squeeze the space of Windows CE in the low-end device market. The small ARM processor is a product of cost reduction.
