Windows Vault in Windows 7 - Import and Export Credentials

When we access UNC resources on Windows, log in to Remote Desktop, or perform some authentication, we can save these account passwords for authentication, so that we can automatically authenticate when we use it next time for quick access. Windows Vista has built in the ability to import and export these credentials. In Windows 7, the UI design is more detailed and easier for users to find and use.

Open User Management from the Control Panel and select "Manage your credentials" from the menu on the left.

In Credential Manger, we can see previously verified credentials, such as credentials for HomeGroup, credentials for Remote Desktop, and credentials for Windows Live apps. We can back up and restore these credentials with "Back up vault" or "Restore vault" so that when we reinstall the system, we can quickly restore the previously exported credentials to the current new system.

Since the discovery of Windows Vault, gOxiA has no need to re-maintain the Remote Desktop list after reinstalling the system. And you don't have to separately record the password generated automatically by HomeGroup.
