Enable TCP half-open connection limit in Vista and Win 7

  

Since Windows Vista, the TCP half-open connection limit in Windows is disabled, so how many TCP connections can be established by the system? TCP connection. Then, for security reasons, if you want to enable the TCP half-open connection limit, you need to manually add the registry key. The steps are as follows, for Windows Vista/Server 2008/Windows 7.

1. Start Menu - Run

2. Type regedit

3. Locate and double-click the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services \\
Tcpip\\Parameters\\EnableConnectionRateLimiting

Note: Under Windows 7, the user must right-click the new DWORD (32-bit) value and name it EnableConnectionRateLimiting.

4. Set the value to 1

5. Restart the system
