Install WMP11 for Win 7 - Solve Thunder and see the problem

  

In Windows 7, Microsoft built Windows Media Player 12, although, compared to Windows Media Player 11, 12 has features and interfaces. Less improvement, but still some people are still accustomed to WMP 11, and there are some other problems, for example, it has been reflected that WMP12 can not watch movies with Thunder.

Since there is a problem, someone will study the solution, and the best way to deal with such problems is to transplant.

1. Download the installation package

2. WIN+R runs Services.msc or open Windows 7 Optimizer - System Optimization - Service Optimization

3. Find Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service and disable


4. Open Windows 7 Optimizer - System Settings - Right Settings - Add - Check "Manage Ownership" - Save

5 Open the Program Files\\Windows Media Player folder, right click - Manage Take Ownership
Find all files starting with wmp under the System32 folder, right click - Manage Take Ownership
Find the Sytem32\\en-us\\ folder Wmploc.dll.mui file, right click - manage to take ownership

6. Run the installer, do not restart after completion

7. WIN+R run regedit to open the registry editor

8. Locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\MediaPlayer\\Setup\\Installed Versions key and delete

9. Restart
