Microsoft intends to add instant boot capability to Windows 7

Many users are dissatisfied with the slow start-up speed of Windows, and Microsoft is considering adding a feature to Windows to change this situation.

Microsoft is investigating some users: If Windows includes an "Instant On" feature, do users like it? The "Instant Power On" feature in Microsoft's plan can display a desktop for users to use on the display in a matter of seconds.

The survey published on the Engadget website states that the concept is called 'instant power on', and 'instant power on' can start a computer from a shutdown state in a very short time to complete certain tasks. The 'instant boot' experience differs from 'complete Windows' in that it limits the tasks users can perform and the applications they run. ”

Faster boot speeds are clearly a priority for Microsoft, and Windows 7 may support such features. Microsoft engineer Michael · Michael Fortin wrote in a blog post in August that one of the top goals of Windows 7 is to dramatically reduce system startup time. Laboratory tests have shown that a "excellent" system startup time should be less than 15 seconds.

Microsoft has been working closely with PC vendors to reduce the boot time of Windows 7 and Windows Vista systems. The first results of their cooperation will be reflected in the new PCs that will be on sale during the Christmas season.
